Swadha Foundation

This blog is about Swadha Foundation. Which is helping the merit students of poor community with the scholarships and providing them Higher education after 10th. I am proud to say that I am also a fellow student in this foundation. This foundation and its founders stood as an inspiration for many students like me.

Before we discuss how this foundation works, lets start with how it actually selects students.

Selection process:

Step-1: They provide applications to every government Inter/PU colleges in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. In Andhra Pradesh they are limited to Anantapur district only. Students who got the best GPA in their 10th exams are eligible.

Step-2: The students who are shortlisted in the application process are promoted to the written test. Here the foundation tests their Knowledge and their performance in studies.

Step-3: Students who are passed in the written test are promoted for the interview round. The foundation conducts interview on qualified students. Here they check the motive of the student, Whether they deserve the scholarship or not?

Step-4: Here one of the Swadha Member will do the house visits of the qualified students, to check whether they are really eligible for this scholarship/program or not?

In this way the shortlisted students will be called to the office in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. Here the students were explained about the program, why they only got selected and deserved to be in this program? What are the rules and regulations that one should follow to be in the program.

Ufff.... pretty tough right? But this is how the selection process goes!

The price they will get after crossing this tough process is invaluable. They will get monthly stipend of Rs.1000/-. All the college fees and books fees are covered by the Swadha foundation itself.

The students in Science groups will be given special training for Engineering and Medicine(EAMCET & NEET).

All students irrespective of groups/courses English and Computer classes are provided to improve their communication and professional skills.

Swadha Foundation:

This is our foundation logo. We are helping hands and we like to help the students who are in need of help.

Library:

This is our Library. Here we have all the materials and books for all group students. Taking from Math to Commerce and Soft skills. And it is expanding every month!

Training Classroom:

This is the classroom where they train Science students for Engineering and Medicine exams(EAMCET & NEET).

Computer Lab:

This is our computer lab in Swadha foundation. Where all the systems are connected with Wi-Fi. So in case of learning new courses or improving new skills in tech. one can use these system in a fruitful way.

Digital Classroom:

This is our digital classroom where it is currently being used for the tech skill learning and development, irrespective of study background of students. Here we are currently having Java Script classes in online by "Masai School".

Students active participation:

With all the facilities provided, Swadha students from several rural parts of Anantapur district showing interest in learning these newly introduced courses and took their first bold step to stay in hostels as a symbol of courageous change.

Safety and Hygiene:

Here we not only provide facilities but also we take care about students safety and health. As pandemic is still active, we are taking safety measures as well, Masks and Sanitizers are must and should!
